Connections Festival Installation

As part of the Connections 2024 Festival at the National Theatre, I designed an installation in the Cottesloe Room. It represented every group and Partner Theatre who took part in the project over the last year.

The installation took the form of a map, but a map that could not get you anywhere. Its scales were out of proportion, and it was rendered useless by being broken up across the walls of the room. Every piece of the map fit together like a jigsaw, and threads wove between groups, connecting them to their Partner Theatres.

At the end of the festival the threads were cut and each piece was posted out to the participating groups and theatres with a QR code providing information and photographs, so they each have their own peice as a little momento of the festival and installation whether they visited the Cottesloe room or not.
